The Snow has a Song
The snow has a song all its own,
it sounds like a lullaby
as flakes gently fall
to the earth
from a silver sky.
It starts as a plain simple melody,
then builds as the layers grow.
Our ears and our eyes and our hearts recognize the beautiful song of the snow.
The Snow has a Song soft and sweet,
it whispers through leafless trees,
as flakes, to and fro
aimlessly go,
borne by December’s breeze.
It builds into lush harmony, it drifts as it echoes.
Our ears and our eyes and our hearts recognize the beautiful song of the snow.
Isn’t it easy to see how it shimmers and glistens?
Harder to hear; you must carefully listen to capture the air blending with the wind;
